A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA
AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF HOUSING REHABILITATION GUIDELINES DATED FEBRUARY
5,2002,IN RELATION TO CDBG CONTRACT #121-02H,AN APPLICATION FOR FISCAL YEAR
2001 STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR A HOUSING
REHABILITATION ACTIVITY.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction is desirous of undertaking a
housing rehabilitation program;and
WHEREAS,this program is funded with Coununity Development Block Grant
(CDBG)Program funds provided by the State of Arizona CDBG Program;and
WHEREAS,the State CDBG Program requires that every local government
requesting CDBG funds for housing rehabilitation adopt specific guidelines for
such a program;and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction has developed such housing
rehabilitation guidelines,dated February 5,2002,which have been pre-
approved by the CDBG Program.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1.The Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona
hereby adopts such housing rehabilitation guidelines,dated February 5,
2002,which shall be used to implement its CDBG-funded housing
rehabilitation program funded through Contract 11121-02H;and
2.The City of Apache Junction shall utilize such Housing Rehabilitation
Guidelines without revisions except for those authorized by the chief
elected official or a person authorized in writing to approve such
revisions via the CDBG Program's CD -1 Form,with such revisions
submitted to the CDBG Program within a maximum of ten (10) working days
of authorization.
