A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE OF ARIZONA,
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CONTRACTS NUMBERED
122.02H (HABITAT FOR HUMANITY LOT ACQUISTION)AND 123.02H (FOOD BANK EXPANSION).
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction has entered into contracts with the Arizona
Department of Commerce to perform certain duties funded by Community Development
Block Grant ("CDBG")funds:and
WHEREAS,said contracts are known as "Commerce CDBG Contract Number 122.02H"
(Habitat for Humanity Lot Acquisition)and "Commerce Contract Number 123.02H"
(Food Bank Expansion):and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction has determined that due to unforeseen
circumstances,it will not be possible to complete the activities as described in
Activity 2 of Commerce CDBG Contract Number 122.02H in a timely fashion:and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction wishes to ensure the successful completion
of activities described in Activity 2 of Commerce CDBG Contract Number 123-02H.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Apache Junction,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION 1:
Amendments to the Habitat For Humanity CDBG Contract Number 122.02H and Food Bank
Expansion Contract Number 123.02H are authorized and shall be submitted to the
State of Arizona Department of Commerce for Fiscal Year 2001 CDBG funds,and the
Mayor shall sign the amendments,contracts,and grant documents.The contracts
shall be amended with the following amounts:
Food Bank Expansion ($83,500):and
Habitat for Humanity Lot Acquisition (0).

SECTION 2:
The Mayor and staff are authorized to take any and all actions necessary to
implement and complete the activities submitted in the contract amendments.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THIS 4TH DAY OF JUNE ,2002.
