A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
•JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,DECLARING AND
ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 20,2003.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,
Arizona,did hold a primary election on the 20th day of May,2003,for the
election of two Councilmembers and a proposition regarding Ordinance No.1168,
a city -initiated rezoning (Proposition 200);and
WHEREAS,pursuant to A.R.S.S 16-642(A),the election returns have been
presented to and have been canvassed by the City Council.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION 1.That the total number of valid ballots cast at the general
election as shown by the poll lists was 1,857.
SECTION 2.That the total number of ballots to be verified was 6,and
that of the 6 ballots to be verified the total number of voters found to be
ineligible were 3,leaving the total number of ballots cast to be 1,857 as
indicated in Section 1 above.

SECTION 5.There being 2 city council seats left to be filled at the
general election,it is hereby found determined and declared of record,that
the following two candidates did receive the highest number of votes and shall
be issued certificates of election.-

SECTION 6.This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its adoption.
