A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,PINAL AND MAIRICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,DECLARING AND
ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 11,
2003.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,
Arizona,did hold a primary election on the 11th day of March,2003,for the
nomination/election of a Mayor and three Councilmembers:and
WHEREAS,pursuant to A.R.S.S 16-642(A),the election returns have been
presented to and have been canvassed by the City Council.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION 1.That the total number of valid ballots cast at the primary
election as shown by the poll lists was 2,033.
SECTION 2.That the total number of ballots to be verified was 14,and
that of the 14 ballots to be verified the total number of voters found to be
ineligible were 7,leaving the total number of ballots cast to be 2,033 as
indicated in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3.That the votes cast for the candidates for Mayor were as
follows:

SECTION 5.That it i s hereby found,determined and declared of record,
that the following two candidates did receive more than one-half of the total
number of valid votes cast and are hereby issued certificates of election:

SECTION 6.That i t is hereby found,determined and declared of record,
that the following four candidates received the next greatest number of votes
of the electors of the City of Apache Junction voting at said election and
shall have their names placed on the general municipal election ballot of the
City of Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona,to be held on
the 20th day of May, 2003,and are hereby issued certificates of nomination:

Sippel,Kristofer Waldron,Dave
SECTION 7.This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its adoption.
