A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,ARIZONA,AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION OF HOUSING
REHABILITATION GUIDELINES DATED FEBRUARY 5,2002,IN RELATION TO
THE CDBG CONTRACT APPLICATION FOR FY 2004,AN APPLICATION FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2003 STATE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
FUNDS FOR A HOUSING REHABILITATION ACTIVITY.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction is desirous of
undertaking a housing rehabi 1 i tati on program;and
WHEREAS,this program is funded with Community Development
Block Grant Program (CDBG)funds provided by the State of Arizona
CDBG Program;and
WHEREAS,the State CDBG Program requires that every local
government requesting CDBG funds for housing rehabilitation adopt
specific guidelines for such a program;and
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction has developed such
housing rehabi 1 itati on guidelines,dated February 5,2002 which
have been pre:approved by the CDBG Program;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,hereby adopts such housing
rehabi ii tati on guide] i nes ,'dated February 5,2002,which shall be
used to implement its CDBG-funded housing rehabilitation program
funded through the contract application for 2004,its application
for FY 2003 .funds,and
THAT,the City o f Apache Junction shall utilize such Housing
Rehabi 1 i tati on Guide] i nes without revisions except as authorized. by
the chief elected official or a person authorized in writing to
approve such revisions via the CDBG Program's CD -1 Form,with such
revisions submitted t o the CDBG Program within a maximum of 10
working days of authorization.
