A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,DECLARING AND
ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 8,2005.
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,
Arizona,did hold a primary election on the 8th day of March,2005,for the
nomination/election of a Mayor and three Councilmembers:and a proposition for
the continuation of one Local Alternative Expenditure Limitation (home rule
option):and
WHEREAS,pursuant to A.R.S.§ 16-642(A),the election returns have been
presented to and have been canvassed by the City Council.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of
Apache Junction,Pinal and Maricopa Counties,Arizona,as follows:
SECTION 1.That the total number of valid ballots cast at the primary
election as shown by the poll lists was 1,099.
SECTION 2.That the total number of ballots to be verified was 5,and
that of the 5 ballots to be verified the total number of voters found to be
ineligible were 4,leaving the total number of ballots cast to be 1,099 as
indicated in Section 1 above.
SECTION 3.That the votes cast for the candidates for Mayor were as
follows:

SECTION 5.That the votes cast for the proposition for the continuation

SECTION 6.That it is hereby found,determined and declared of record,
that the following four candidates did receive more than one-half of the total
number of valid votes cast and are hereby issued certificates of election:
Coleman,Douglas
Dietz,Richard
Eck,Robert "R.E." Jr.
Severs,Joseph
SECTION 7.This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THIS 15TH DAY OF MARCH ,2005.
