A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, APPROVING
SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS FOR HIGHWAY SAFETY PROJECTS
TO THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY (FY
2008); AND APPOINTING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
SAFETY/POLICE CHIEF TO CONDUCT ALL NEGOTIATIONS AND
EXECUTE ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE
SUBMITTAL.
WHEREAS, the Governor's Office of Highway Safety is
seeking proposals from state and local agencies for
projects relating to all aspects of highway safety; and
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction of Arizona,
through its Department of Public Safety, is interested in
submitting projects to be considered for funding in the
form of reimbursable grants from the National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City
Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, as
follows:
1) That approval of the submission proposals for projects
under consideration in Arizona's 2008 Highway Safety
Plan is granted.
2) That the Apache Junction Director of Public
Safety/Police Chief, is appointed agent for the City
of Apache Junction, to conduct all negotiations and to
execute and submit all documents and any other
necessary or critical instruments in connection with
such submittal.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, THIS 5TH DAY OF JUNE
2007.
