HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 09-38RESOLUTION NO.09-38 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION(S) FOR SERVICES FROM THE DRACHMAN INSTITUTE FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE COMPLETION OF A COMMUNITY WIDE HOUSING SURVEY. WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction is desirous of undertaking a community wide housing survey; and WHEREAS, the State of Arizona has an application for Services from the Drachman Institute; and WHEREAS, the State requires that the requested funds address housing projects or programs that are designed to benefit low-income households at or below 80% of the area median income; and WHEREAS, the activities within this application address the identified housing and community development needs, including the needs of low and moderate income persons; and WHEREAS, a grantee of State funds is required to comply with the program guidelines and regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction as follows: SECTION 1: Staff is authorized to submit an application to the State of Arizona Department of Housing to receive services from the Drachman Institute, and the Mayor is authorized to sign the applications, contracts, grant documents and other related documents for receipt and use of funds for the completion of a community wide housing survey. SECTION 2: The Mayor is authorized to take any and all actions necessary to implement and complete the activities submitted in the application. RESOLUTION NO.09-38 PAGE 1 OF 2 SECTION 3: The application for funds further addresses the needs under State guidelines for low and moderate income persons. SECTION 4: The City of Apache Junction shall comply with all program guidelines and regulations applicable to the program.
