A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA,ACCEPTING AN
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION AND THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR THE DESIGN AND RECONSTRUCTION OF IRONWOOD DRIVE
FROM 16TH AVENUE TO U.S.60;AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING STAFF TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY TO CARRY
OUT THE PURPOSE AND INTENT OF THIS RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS,the City desires to apply for such funding to
improve the above -noted right-of-way and as a requirement of the
grant will match $700,000.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
1)That an intergovernmental agreement between the City of
Apache Junction and the Arizona Department of Transportation
is hereby accepted and the Mayor is authorized to execute
the agreement.
2)The City Manager or his designee is authorized and directed
to take all steps necessary to carry out the purpose and
intent of this Resolution.
3)The City of Apache Junction shall comply
guidelines,federal statutes and regulations
