Home My WebLink AboutRES 09-02RESOLUTION NO. 09-02 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES, ARIZONA, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 10, 2009. WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Waricopa Counties, Arizona, did hold a primary election on the 10th day of March, 2009, for the nomination/election of a Mayor and three Councilmembers; a proposition for the continuation of one Local Alternative Expenditure Limitation (UMW3 rule option); and the recall of the elected officials holding the offices of Mayor and four positions of Councilmembers; and WHEREAS, pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-642(A), the election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona, as follows: SECTION 1.That the total number of valid ballots cast at the primary election as shown by the poll lists was 2,696. SECTION 2.That the total number of ballots to be verified (conditional provisional ballots)was 1, and that of the 1 ballot to be verified (conditional provisional ballot) the total number of voters found to be ineligible was 1, leaving the total number of ballots cast to be 2,696 as indicated in Section 1 above.
