A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE
JUNCTION, ARIZONA, AUTHORIZING CITY SPONSORSHIP OF RESOLUTIONS
FOR ADOPTION BY THE LEAGUE, OF,ARIZONA CITIES AND TOWNS
("LEAGUE") FOR INCLUSION IN THE 2012 LEAGUE MUNICIPAL POLICY
STATEMENT.
WHEREAS, the LEAGUE is an organization that represents the
interests of municipalities before the Arizona State
Legislature; and
WHEREAS,the LEAGUE annually adopts a platform for the
upcoming legislative session through adoption of resolutions
presented by its members; and,
WHEREAS,the City of Apache Junction is a member of the
LEAGUE; and
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Apache Junction
desires to present proposed resolutions for consideration as
part of the League's 2012 Municipal Policy Statement; and
WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction may be asked by other
cities to co-sponsor proposed LEAGUE resolutions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION ARIZONA, AS FOLLOWS:
The Mayor may authorize the City Manager or his designee to
submit the proposed resolutions to the LEAGUE for adoption and
inclusion in the 2012 Municipal Policy Statement and to submit
or co-sponsor additional resolutions on issues of importance to
the City of Apache Junction.
