Home My WebLink AboutRES 16-33RESOLUTION NO. 16-33 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES, ARIZONA, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2016. milumks,the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona, did hold a general election on the 8th day of November, 2016, for the election of one councilmember; and WHEREAS, the election returns have been presented to and have been canvassed by the city council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the mayor and council of the City of Apache Junction, Pinal and Maricopa Counties, Arizona, as follows: SECTION 1.That the total number of valid ballots cast at said general election, as shown by the attached reports from Pinal and Maricopa Counties, marked as Exhibit A-1 through A-10, was 12,808. SECTION 2.That the number of ballots rejected, as shown by the attached reports from Pinal and Maricopa Counties, marked as Exhibit A.-1 through A-10, was 176. SECTION 3.That the votes cast for the candidates for councilmernber were as follows: Name Vote Total Schroeder, Robert 4420 Struble, Jeff 5378 SECTION 4.That it is hereby found, determined and declared of record that the following candidate did receive more than the required number of valid votes cast for the office sought in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes § 9-821.01 and is hereby issued a certificate of election: SECTION 5.
