Home My WebLink AboutRES 21-03 RESOLUTION NO. 21-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, DECLARING AS A PUBLIC RECORD AND AMENDING A CERTAIN DOCUMENTS FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK ENTITLED "CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021" TO CREATE A PRINCIPAL ENGINEER POSITION. WHEREAS, the most recent Classification and Compensation Plans were adopted on June 16 , 2020, as amendments to the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Classification and Compensation Plans for all classified employees of the City of Apache Junction; and WHEREAS, adoption of a Classification Plan and a Compensation Plan retains these plans as part of the budget for Fiscal Year 2020---2021; and WHEREAS, on June 16, 2020, the Mayor and City Council adopted the tentative budget for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 and on July 7, 2020, adopted the final budget for Fiscal Year 2020- 2021, establishing funding for and the positions as set forth in the "Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2020-2021", the "Civilian Compensation Plan for Fiscal Year 2020-2021", the "Recruit and Sworn Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2020-2021" and the "City Of Apache Junction Flat and Hourly salary schedule for fiscal year 2020-2021"; and WHEREAS, the city management finds it necessary to create a position of Principal Engineer at a Salary Grade 32 as an amendment to the "Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2020- 2021" in order to begin the recruitment process for this position which is made necessary as a result of the auction of approximately four square miles of state trust lands south of Baseline Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona as follows SECTION I DECLARING A PUBLIC RECORD The documents entitled "City of Apache Junction Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 as amended" (Exhibit A) , three RESOLUTION NO. 21-03 PAGE 1 of 2 copies of each which are can file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache junction, Arizona, are hereby declared to be pudic records; and the copies shall remain on file with the City Clerk' s office and shall be available for public examination and reproduction upon request ® SECTION II ADOPTION OF PLANS The document entitled "City of Apache ,junction Classification Flan for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 as amended", is hereby adopted, referred to, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this resolution, SIGNED AND ATTESTED TO THIS C) DAY OF 2021 APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACPE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, THIS DAY OF , 2021 .
