Home My WebLink AboutRES 21-38 RESOLUTION NO. 21-38 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, DECLARING AS A PUBLIC RECORD AND AMENDING A CERTAIN DOCUMENTS FILED WITH THE CITY CLERK ENTITLED "CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021-2022" TO AMEND THE PRINCIPAL ENGINEER POSITION. WHEREAS, the most recent Classification and Compensation Plans were_ adopted on May 17 , 2021, as amendments to the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Classification and Compensation Plans for all classified employees of the City of Apache Junction; and WHEREAS, adoption of a Classification Plan and a Compensation Plan retains these plans as part of the budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022; and WHEREAS, on May 17, 2021, the Mayor and City Council adopted the tentative budget for Fiscal. Year 2021--2022 and on June 14, 2021, adopted the final budget for Fiscal Year 2021-2022, establishing funding for and the positions as set forth in the "Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2021-2022", the "Civilian Compensation Plan for Fiscal Year 2021-2022", the "Recruit and Sworn Salary Schedule for Fiscal Year 2021-2022" and the "City Of Apache Junction Flat and Hourly salary schedule for fiscal year 2021.-2022"; and WHEREAS, the city management finds it necessary to amend the position of Principal Engineer from a Salary Grade 32 to a Salary Grade 34 as an amendment to the "Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2021--2022" in order to complete the recruitment process for this position which is made necessary as a result of the auction of approximately four square miles of state trust lands south of Baseline Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona as follows : SECTION I DECLARING A PUBLIC RECORD The documents entitled "City of Apache Junction Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 as amended" (Exhibit A) , three RESOLUTION NO. 21--38 PAGE 1 of 2 copies of each which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, are hereby declared to be public records; and the copies shall remain on file with the City Clerk' s office and shall be available for public examination and reproduction upon request . SECTION II ADOPTION OF PLANS The document entitled "City of Apache Junction Classification Plan for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 as aniended", is hereby adopted, referred to, and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this resolution.
