HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 21-12 RESOLUTION NO® 21-12 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APCHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA, AUPTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF PROJECTS TO THE GOVERNOR' S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY ("GOHS") FOR THE 2022 HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the Governor' s Office of Highway Safety ("GOHS") is seeking proposals from state and local agencies for projects relating to all aspects of highway safety; and WHEREAS, the City of Apache Junction through the Apache Junction Police Department, is interested in submitting projects to be considered for funding in the form of reimbursable grants from the National Highway 'Traffic Safety Administration. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the mayor and city council of the City of Apache Junction, Arizona, as follows ® SECTION I ® Staff is authorized to submit the following projects for consideration in the ®`GOHS" 2022 Highway Safety grant program. a® Driving Under Influence ("DUI") overtime and (1) refrigerated evidence storage ($39, 76) b® Vehicle - Ford F150 truck with police package ($49, 716) c® Speed Traffic Enforcement Program ("STEP'°) overtime and (2) lidar machines ($23, 50) d® 'Traffic and Criminal Software ("TraCS") - (22 each) barcode scanners, bluetooth printers and premium paper packs ( 20, 153) Total of: $133, 310 SECTION II® The mayor or chief of police, his or their designee, is appointed the agent for the City of Apache Junction, to conduct all negotiations and to execute and submit all documents and any other necessary or desirable instruments in connection with such grant.
