MINUTES
AUGUST 16,1982
The meeting of the Floodplain Board of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,was held on August 16,1982, at the Apache Junction,City Hall
Complex pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Wendell J.Clarke called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL

APPEAL CASE NO.82-1 ...........
)Attorney for the applicant,Mark Bradshaw
and Alton Riggs spoke in favor of the appeal submitted by Mr.Troy Church,
and pointed out that it was their conclusion that construction in thislocation would not imperil anyone, and that since this project was begunpriortotheOoposedFloodplainregulations,the regulations should notbe applied to the case.
City Engineer Art Allen read a memorandum
suggesting that issuance of a permit be made with the stipulation that expandedgradingplansbepresentedfor approval,as a means of assuring control over the
methods by which runoff is conducted through and around the project.
Mr.Clay Worst stated that old maps in his
possession differed in the water flow and washes from the new maps.

MOVED THAT TROY CHURCH BE GRANTED
AUTHORIZATION PURSUANT TO ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES §45-2343 TO CONSTRUCT
THOSE WATERCOURSE STRUCTURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANS WHICH HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED
TO THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION BUILDING DEPARTMENT SUBJECT TO THE CONDITION
THAT THE APPLICANT SUBMIT EXPENDED GRADING PLANS WHICH ARE ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY'S BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
Boardmember Steelsmith seconded the motion.
