SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 8,1982
The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,was held on November 8, 1982, at the Apache Junction City Council
Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Clarke called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
INVOCATION
Councilman Shanks led the Invocation.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Vice Mayor Hill led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Mayor Clarke introduced Ms Betsy Grandlich,who wished to address the Council.
Ms Grandlich,owner of the Superstition Inn,addressed the Council regardingthe Arizona Water Company increase,informing the Council and public that therewillbe a prehearing Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m.,November 10,1982,with the
Corporation Commission. Ms Grandlich requested that residents attend to intervenewiththisrequestforapriceincrease,which will make their prices 100%higher
than Palm Springs Water Company.
Ms Connally addressed the Council with information on expenditure limitations,
and the many options which includes home rule,permanent base adjustment.
Ms Connally gave examples of other cities and towns,including Coolidge
and Kearny.
Mayor Clarke and other members of the Council thanked Ms Connally for
her presentation.
Vice Mayor Hill and Councilman Damiano stated that they would need time
to study the options.

)Councilman Steelsmith MOVED THAT BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA,
THAT THE MEETING BE ADJOURNED AT P.M.
Councilman Shanks seconded the motion.
VOTE:Unanimous
The motion carried.

CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,ARIZONA.
