SPECIAL MEETING
JANUARY 12,1982
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of ApacheJunction,Arizona,was held on January 12,1982, at the Apache
Junction Council Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Clarke called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

EXECUTIVE SESSION
)Councilman Damiano MOVED THAT BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT THE CITY COUNCIL RECESS INTO THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE
TO DISCUSS PERSONNEL MATTERS AND TO CONFER WITH THE CITY ATTORNEY.
Councilman Shanks seconded the motion.
VOTE:Unanimous
The motion carried.
Mayor Clarke reconvened the meeting.
Mayor Clarke requested that the record show that Councilman Steelsmith
is present and was present during the Executive Session.
EMPLOYEMENT OF CITY MANAGER
)Councilman Damiano MOVED THAT BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT J.JAMES TUVELL BE OFFERED EMPLOYEMENT AS CITY MANAGER
EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1, 1982,AT A SALARY OF $2714.00 PER MONTH.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THIS EMPLOYMENT OFFER EXPIRE AT FIVE P.M.
ON JANUARY 18,1982
ADJOURNMENT
)Mayor Clarke adjourned the meeting at
7:02 p.m.
