The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,
Arizona,was held on March 7, 1983, at the Apache Junction City Council
Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.

PROPOSED LOCAL ALTERNATIVE EXPENDITURE
LIMITATION (HOME RULE OPTION)FOR THE
CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION )City Manager James Tuvell presented
a program on Local Alternative Expenditure Limitations to include a briefhistory of the home rule option and alternative options,and explanation of
how the State -imposed expenditure limitation is derived,what the projected
revenues and expenditures would be for fiscal years 83-84 through 86-87,how
the fiscal year 83-84 budget would be affected both with and without voterapprovalofthehomeruleoptionand what forms are required to be submitted
to the State Legislative Council for review.
A brief question and answer period followed on the alternatives available.
