MARCH 28,1983
The special meeting of the City Council of the City of Apache Junction,Arizona,was held on March 28,1983,at the Apache Junction City Council
Chambers pursuant to the notice required by law.
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Clarke called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Councilmen Present:Councilman Eidson,Councilman
Shanks,Councilman Steelsmith,
Councilman Damiano, Vice MayorHill,Mayor Clarke
Councilman Absent:Councilman Baljo

CANVASSING OF VOTES,PRIMARY ELECTION
MARCH 22,1983
)City Clerk Kathleen Connelly,explainedthatStatelawrequiresthattheCityCouncil,the first Monday following anelection,must open the official and unofficial returns,inspect the poll lists
and tally lists,compare them, and either accept or defer the results of theelection.
Ms Connelly presented the official
and unofficial returns to the Council,of which the official returns were
sealed at the time the election closed,to guarantee that nothing had been
altered.
The members of the City Council
reviewed the returns and the canvassing of votes was concluded.
Councilman Damiano MOVED THAT BE IT
RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,
ARIZONA,THAT RESOLUTION NO.83-10,A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION,PINAL AND MARICOPA COUNTIES,ARIZONA,CONDUCTING
AND ACCEPTING THE OFFICIAL CANVASS OF VOTES FOR THE CITY PRIMARY ELECTION HELD
MARCH 22,1983,BE AND HEREBY IS ADOPTED.
Vice Mayor Hill seconded the motion.
Councilman Shanks seconded themotion.
VOTE:Unanimous
The motion carried.
ACCEPTED THIS 19TH DAY OF APRIL ,1983,BY THE MAYOR AND
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF APACHE JUNCTION, ARIZONA.
